Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations (OCIE)

The Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations (OCIE) was a branch of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that managed the SEC’s examination program. The OCIE was created in 1995 to consolidate all of the SEC’s examination and inspection activities into one unit. In 2020, the OCIE was renamed the Division of Examinations.
