The 4th annual Fuse event organized by Orion Advisor Services kicks off tomorrow in Park City, Utah. The event which will run through the weekend features over 30 technology firms that serve the registered investment adviser (“RIA”) industry coming together to collaborate on new innovative products and integrations. RIA in a Box returns to Orion Fuse Event to Build more RIA Compliance Software Integrations
At last year’s event, our new employee trade monitoring integration with Orion was fortunate enough to win the “Best in Show Award.” This follows our initial compliance integration between Orion and our software platform, MyRIACompliance®, also winning the “Best in Show Award” in 2015.
The original integration developed at the 2015 event retrieves firm-specific data from Orion’s system in order to help ensure that an RIA firm is registered in the proper jurisdictions and that the firm’s Form ADV information is accurate. The integration is available today at no additional charge to joint Orion and RIA in a Box clients. Our new employee trade monitoring software which was originally hatched at last year’s Fuse event was just released to the public earlier this week and the enhanced integration with Orion will be available shortly.
Winning back to back “Best in Show” awards was a humbling experience given the incredible caliber of firms that participate in this event each this year. While matching unexpected success of prior two years will be difficult especially given the impressive list of other firms in attendance, we are very excited to return this year with the goal of working on a new RIA service provider compliance due diligence tool. We believe how RIA firms conduct annual due diligence on their service providers can be greatly improved to enable a more seamless process for not only the RIA firm itself, but also for the service providers that support the firm.
